Summary: Ardent IT Solutions is seeking qualified candidates for a full time Support Technician position. This role will provide remote and onsite technical computer and network support to Ardent IT customers for their recurring IT support needs and Managed IT services. It will be necessary for this position to provide support to network users and to service computers, printers, phones, audio / visual devices and related equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Troubleshoot and resolve workstation computer hardware, operating system and application problems.
- Identify and address wired and wireless network connectivity issues and assist users with access network / server resources.
- Deploy, configure and troubleshoot application issues, most commonly for the Microsoft Office suite, but also for a variety of business software packages including, but not limited to, Accounting, CRM, Collaboration, ERP and Document Management.
- Address issues with network and server connectivity including physical connections, permissions, name resolution problems and other related network issues.
- Configure Windows Desktop Operating Systems, including image deployment for desktop and laptop refresh cycles.
- Willingness to work varying hours depending on the customer or internal need, including the participation in an on-call rotation with other technicians to support customer needs that might fall outside of normal business hours.
- Maintain consistent, accurate and up-to-date detailed time reporting for customer billing and internal tracking purposes.

- In-depth understanding and experience working with Windows Desktop Operating Systems including Windows 8,10 and 11.
- Knowledge of and experience working with the Microsoft Office Suite of applications and the ability to troubleshoot common user support issues.
- Experience working with TCP/IP networks (wired and wireless), an understanding of subnetting, network routing and troubleshooting related issues.
- Familiarity with Active Directory domains and working with computer and user objects, server, printer and application permissions.
- Understanding of Office365 administration, licensing and Azure Active Directory.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Education/Experience:
Associate degree from a university or technical college; and two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specialized Training and Certifications:
Technical training and / or certifications through industry leading hardware and software manufacturers are desired, including but not limited to the following:
- CompTIA A and Security
- Microsoft Desktop and Application
- Cisco Entry
Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:
- Time management skills and the ability to accurately document tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to regularly work with in a team environment and with all levels of users.
- Ability to work with all levels of management (internal and external) to provide guidance and recommendations for technology related goals and products.
- The capability to effectively manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
- A focus on the quality of work provided, including a customer’s satisfaction with the delivered product or service.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
