What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Planning Analyst position at Arden Search?
OPPORTUNITY
Our client is a leader in the insurance space with a robust network of independent agents across a dozen states. The Financial Analyst will assist with financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting operations. This role will be on-site 5 days/week in NW Atlanta and our client is providing a strong compensation package for top candidates.
SCOPE OF WORK
- Support financial modeling projects related to cost, revenue, and operational efficiencies. Work closely with FP&A leadership team to drive analysis that will be used by executive team and stakeholders to make operational decisions.
- Provide financial reports and assist FP&A manager in analyzing trends (growth, P&L, revenue, expenditures, operating forecasts).
- Participate in the annual planning process and routine forecasting to identify areas of improvement in processes and reporting.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments and firm leadership to establish oneself as a trusted financial partner for the organization. Work closely with Accounting team for annual budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes to provide documentation and support where needed.
- Use exceptional analytical skills to analyze market and business trends/results
- Work to continuously improve FP&A operations, providing process improvement ideas where requested.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 2 years of financial analysis, investment banking, private equity, M&A, or corporate finance experience
- Proficiency with MS Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts, modeling functions) and other relevant technologies to extract and model data (SQL, MS Access, etc.)
- High performing individuals will possess the following skillset: detail-oriented, analytical thinking, interpersonal communication, ability to lead interactions with senior leadership
- Ability and willingness to work on-site 5 days/week in Northwest Atlanta
