We are seeking a compassionate and organized Volunteer Coordinator to oversee and manage the hospice volunteer program. This role is responsible for the recruitment, orientation, training, and coordination of all hospice volunteers, ensuring they are well-prepared to provide supportive services to patients, families, and the care team. The Volunteer Coordinator will also lead program development and administrative functions across all service areas to ensure a meaningful and compliant volunteer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, screen, and onboard hospice volunteers in alignment with organizational needs and standards
- Plan and conduct volunteer orientation and ongoing training programs
- Coordinate volunteer assignments to support patients, families, and hospice staff
- Maintain accurate records of volunteer activities, hours, and compliance requirements
- Provide supervision, guidance, and support to volunteers, ensuring a positive and effective experience
