What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager of Admissions-Home Health position at Arden Home Health and Hospice?
The Manager of Admissions is a clinical leadership role responsible for converting referrals into admissions across Arden's Mississippi home health branches. Positioned within clinical operations, this role owns the referral-to-admission process from the point a referral is received through a completed start of care.
The Manager of Admissions reviews referral documentation and physician orders, verifies authorization and payer eligibility, confirms the patient meets Medicare home health eligibility criteria, and clears the referral for admission with the clinical direction the branch needs to proceed. The role works closely with intake, scheduling, branch clinical leadership, and the business development team to remove barriers between referral and start of care.
This position supervises the Admission Nurse, monitors admission productivity, and is directly accountable for referral conversion, admission volume, and census growth across the service area.
