About the Position:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable DMV Title Clerk to handle all vehicle title, registration, and transfer transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of California DMV procedures, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to process paperwork accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process vehicle title and registration transactions through DMV or BPA systems (including transfers, renewals, duplicates, and releases of liability).
- Review and verify all title documents for accuracy and compliance with California DMV regulations.
- Handle dealer and private party paperwork, including lien releases, bills of sale, and out-of-state transfers.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and payments.
- Communicate with customers, dealers, and financial institutions to resolve title or registration issues.
- Calculate fees and taxes related to DMV transactions.
- Prepare daily transaction reports and maintain organized filing systems.
- Stay updated on current DMV policies, codes, and requirements.
Qualifications:
- Previous DMV, automotive, or title clerk experience preferred.
- Familiarity with California DMV and BPA (Business Partner Automation) systems a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proficient in basic computer use and data entry.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
Schedule: Negotiable. Part time with full time potential.
- Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience performance incentives. Pay negotiable.
