What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Manager position at Ardagh Group and Careers?
Role Description:
- Manage production process in a 24-hour operation to achieve company goals for safety, quality, and production
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement
- Monitor product standards and implement quality-control programs
- Generate revenue by developing and delivering innovative processes
- Provide process-wide technical support
- Implement company/industry wide initiatives, policies and goals
- Evaluate/enable current and proposed systems and procedures
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and enforce the production schedule
- Manage direct labor budget
- Ensure all employee safety and Safe Quality Food policies are strictly adhered to
- Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained
- Coordinate plant’s training program
- Manage 8 Production Supervisors, overseeing 4 Production Crews
- Establish a working environment which promotes the importance of employees acting with integrity and in an ethical manner.
- Ensure the execution of key internal controls within the area of responsibility.
- Demonstrate commitment to the Ardagh core values and policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years college or equivalent managerial experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, manufacturers and employees
- Computer aptitude including MS Office or similar and SAP
- Beverage Can manufacturing experience highly desired
