What are the responsibilities and job description for the HPC Engineer position at Arcus Search?
Arcus are supporting a rapidly scaling AI Infrastructure firm who are doubling their HPC Engineering capacity in anticipation for a period of sustained growth.
We're looking for a team of Engineers across HPC Hardware and Platform to compliment the existing outfit. You will be working on truly bleeding edge projects including implementing brand new GB300 GPU's.
Included below are some very high level skill requirements, it's worth noting we're NOT looking for a complete match here, there are enough headcount that we're focussing on attitude and adaptability rather than the core expertise. If you're a HPC Engineer in general from a hardware OR platform background, we want to speak to you.
Experience requirements (looking for a 60-100% match here, please apply if in doubt!)
- Experience designing and managing a high-performance compute environments, in production
- Deep understanding of Linux based environments
- Experience with server hardware, processors, memory/ storage, power systems and thermal management
- Strong automation with tools like Ansible, Puppet etc.
- A broad understanding/ hands on exposure to common HPC technologies such as Lustre, InfiniBand, GPFS, Slurm, PBS, GPU acceleration, parallel computing etc.
- Good monitoring exposure with tools like Prometheus etc,
