Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing roadside assistance, towing vehicles, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge, along with the ability to handle various towing equipment safely and efficiently.
Duties
- Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional models, to transport vehicles safely.
- Perform automotive diagnostics to assess vehicle conditions before towing.
- Load and unload vehicles onto tow trucks while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients during roadside assistance calls.
- Manage conflicts professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction even in challenging situations.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on tow trucks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Utilize manual transmission skills when operating various types of vehicles.
- Assist with minor automotive repairs when necessary, leveraging mechanic experience to ensure safe transportation of vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and vehicle conditions.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving license (CDL) is preferred.
- Experience driving both Rollbacks, Pickup and Trailers, and Wreckers
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive repair are essential.
- Proficiency in operating tow trucks and forklifts safely.
- Excellent conflict management skills to handle customer inquiries and concerns effectively.
- Ability to perform automotive diagnostics and understand vehicle mechanics.
- Previous experience in driving, particularly with manual transmission vehicles, is a plus.
- Strong commitment to safety practices and procedures while on the road.
