Brief Summary:
Perform HR Generalist duties and provide specialized operational and administrative support to the Human Resources Department. This position provides expertise on all aspects of a generalist roll from recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, regulatory and compliance, and HR analytics. The position requires multi-tasking and the ability to work independently under time-sensitive deadlines while remaining customer service driven and a supportive team member.

Essential Job Functions:
- Complete all work in accordance with federal and state regulations, Joint Commission standards, grant requirements, and internal personnel policies.
- Work with the HR Director and assist with all aspects of Human Resources to include, but not limited to: employee relations, benefits, onboarding, personnel requisition, advertising, sourcing, pre-employment background checks, candidate screening, and selection.
- Review and verify incoming and outgoing documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Maintain manual filing systems and personnel files.
- Assist with job interviewing schedules for all job vacancies.
- Coordinate employee orientation, enrollment, adjustments, inquiries, problem resolution, and policy review.
- Responsible for onboarding of new employees; responsible to ensure accuracy and completion of all required paperwork; and generate employee identification badges.
- Coordinate Workers’ Compensation: responsible to ensure accuracy and completion of all required reports, applications, certification, monitoring, inquiries, problem resolution, and return to work coordination.
- Provide routine individual and agency-generated employment verification and other paperwork required by the Department of Labor and other agencies.
- Prepare documents and composes routine correspondence, as required, on specific policy and procedural issues.
- Gather information, conduct basic data analysis, and assists in the development of reports.
- Assist in the development and facilitation of staff training and cultural orientation.
- Assist with maintenance of employee and compliance files.
- Serve as a backup to all HR Generalist positions and may specialize in other functional areas of the department.
- Responsible for training co-workers as needed.
- Assists with benefits inquires and required paperwork.
- Collaborates and supports other team members to accomplish overall HR functions and goals.
- Performs all duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s Degree (AA) in Human Resource Management, Business, Public Administration, Management, or Administrative Professional or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; preferred.
- Three- five years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
