Arctic Circle is seeking a motivated, hands-on Assistant Manager to help lead daily restaurant operations in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Position Overview
The Assistant Manager supports the overall operation of the restaurant and helps lead the team to ensure quality, service, and operational excellence. This role combines leadership, organization, and hands-on involvement in daily restaurant functions.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with hiring, training, developing, coaching, and disciplining team members
• Supervise and direct daily employee work and performance
• Ensure consistent achievement of food quality, presentation, safety, and guest service standards
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and overall unit organization
• Interact with guests to ensure positive dining experiences
• Work in various restaurant positions as needed
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies
• Record and track sales, payroll, expenses, and other financial data
• Prepare and deliver cash deposits
• Assist with creating and managing the unit budget
• Support local marketing initiatives
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and food safety regulations
Qualifications
• Strong leadership and team-building skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Organized, dependable, and self-motivated
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills for reporting and recordkeeping
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Schedule Expectations:
Approximately 30-50 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
Experience & Education
•High School Diploma preferred
• Minimum 2 years of restaurant experience
• At least 1 year in a management or supervisory role preferred
