Safety Manager

Arctic Air Holdings is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead safety and fleet risk management across multiple operating companies, including Arctic Air Home Services, Graham Heating & Air Conditioning, Sean McCutcheon's Air Conditioning, Arctic Air Plumbing Services, and Bolt Electric. This leadership position is responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing company-wide safety programs, reducing workplace and fleet incidents, and ensuring OSHA and DOT compliance across every location. The Safety Manager will be home-based out of Sarasota, FL and travel to Arctic Air locations approximately 50–75% of the time to inspect vehicles, lead in-person safety meetings and safety reenactments, and investigate safety incidents. This role partners closely with Operations, Fleet, HR, and Executive Leadership.

What You'll Do

• Develop, implement, and enforce company-wide safety programs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and construction operations.
• Travel to Arctic Air locations (approximately 50–75% of the time) to conduct hands-on vehicle and equipment inspections.
• Plan and lead in-person safety meetings, safety reenactments, and safety drills at all locations and job sites.
• Lead investigations of safety incidents and accidents, including on-site fact-finding, root-cause analysis, and corrective action plans.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations.
• Monitor the Geotab telematics system for unsafe driving behavior and lead corrective actions with location leadership.
• Build and maintain a company-wide safety program with reportable metrics and trends.
• Manage fleet safety programs, vehicle compliance, and coordination with automotive shops on maintenance and repairs.
• Design and deliver safety training initiatives for employees at all levels.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a safety management role, preferably in construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or a similar field services or transportation environment.
• OSHA certification required (OSHA 30).
• Demonstrated automotive and fleet telematics experience (Geotab or similar) required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean/insurable motor vehicle record.
• Ability and willingness to travel to Arctic Air locations 50–75% of the time.
• Strong leadership, communication, and investigative skills.
• Computer literate, tech savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, risk management, or a related field preferred.
