Plumbing Excavation Technician
Arctic Air Conditioning, Cooling, Heating, Plumbing, and Electrical is a 45 year family-owned and operated business. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a full-time Plumbing Excavation Technician to join our team.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, and contributing to plumbing excavation and underground utility projects. The right candidate will be dependable, safety-focused, and eager to learn and grow within the trade.
Pay Range: $22 – $28/hour

Responsibilities:
- Assist with excavation for plumbing systems, including sewer and water line installation and repair
- Perform manual labor such as digging, trenching, shoveling, grading, and site cleanup
- Support installation, repair, and replacement of underground plumbing utilities
- Operate or assist in operating excavation equipment (trencher, excavator, etc.) as needed
- Set up and break down job sites, ensuring proper handling of tools and materials
- Follow trench safety standards, including shoring and proper excavation practices
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations
- 2 years of residential or commercial plumbing experience
- Ability to lift over 50lbs.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and maintain a satisfactory driving record
Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physical labor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with attention to detail and follow-through
- Positive attitude and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in plumbing excavation, construction, or underground utilities
- Experience with trenching, shoring systems, or pipe installation/repair
- Familiarity with operating or assisting with heavy equipment
- Plumbing or mechanical experience is a plus
