Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor and record vital signs to ensure the health and well-being of clients.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the client’s living space to promote a safe environment.
- Document care provided in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs as required.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or home health aide roles is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with patient observation techniques and vital sign monitoring is beneficial.
- Experience in hospice care or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices will be advantageous for providing specialized support.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality and privacy.
