What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Driver position at Arcosa Telecom Structures, LLC?
What you'll do:
- Record work orders, mileage, PM services, etc
- Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service.
- Ensure truck is properly loaded and load secured; truck is in operational condition and supplies/equipment are delivered without any damage
- Maintain radio or telephone contact with dispatcher to receive delivery or pick up instructions or to receive notice of changes in scheduled delivery or pick up
- Maintain logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations
- Rely on instructions and pre‐established guidelines and procedures to perform the functions of the job
- Must follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor
- Keep shop and Haul Trucks clean and uncluttered
- Other duties as assigned
What you'll need:
- A minimum of 2 years of verifiable professional driving experience
- Must have an up-to-date Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class A
- Equipment loading experience required
- Acceptable MVR and previous employment history
- Must be insurable under the company motor vehicle insurance polic
- Dedication to safety and accident prevention
- Prompt, regular and predictable attendance
- Attention to detail with strong organization skills
- Operate with a high degree of independence
- High School diploma or GED preferred
Working Conditions:
- Hourly Full- time position;
- Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production, and non-production areas
- This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
- Hard hats, ear protection, safety glasses, and steel toe shoes required when on shop floor.
