Job Summary
Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Plant Operator based out of our Waco, Texas plant. In this role you will support positive safety culture in an aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. As a Plant Operator, you will work with a team to maintain the heavy equipment in good operating condition to produce natural aggregates in a mining environment.
Day to Day
While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty. Ability to lift 60lbs.

Day to Day
- Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
- Assist with preventive maintenance on heavy equipment keeping machinery running in good condition
- Monitor and assist in routine maintenance to ensure efficient and safe production.
- Basic understanding of mechanical principles and the ability to use hand tools.
- Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
- Perform daily pre-shift on equipment and workplace inspections
- Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
- Welding knowledge
- Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned

- Ability to read schematics and manuals to understand the technical aspects of equipment
- The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
- The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
