Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is currently looking to hire an NDT Quality Inspector in our Fort Worth plant on 2nd shift. In this role, you will perform UT, MT, VT, and dimensional inspection of materials/products to ensure conformance with standards and all requirements. What You'll Do:
- Follow all safety rules and practices
- Perform UT, VT, and MT inspections on utility structures throughout the manufacturing process
- Provide visual/measured inspections/tests of materials/products to ensure conformance with standards and determine if products meet all requirements.
- Complete inspection records, and report and follow appropriate codes and regulations.
- Make visual and measured inspection of products to ensure conformance with standards and determine if product meets all requirements
- Inspect materials or plates, outgoing materials, fittings, and welds throughout the manufacturing process
- Perform nondestructive examination to verify specified dimension, strengths, and other quality factors using measuring instruments and inspection equipment
- Complete inspection records and reports and insert data accordingly and accurately
- Participate in safety committees and/or other initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You'll Need:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience
- UT Shear Wave experience (preferably on T-Joints and on welds with backing bars or other types of structural welds).
- Experience with AWS D.1.1 standards
- The ability to independently apply and use quality science
- CWI certification preferred, but not required
- The ability to effectively communicate with customers
- Familiarity with appropriate codes and regulations
- The ability to maintain reliable and predictable good attendance
- A high level of dependability, a great attitude, and an ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goal
