What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mobile Equipment Operator position at Arcosa Brand?
Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa Subsidiary is hiring for a mobile equipment operator for our plant located in Gadsden, AL. As a mobile equipment operator at Meyer Utility Structures, you'll perform activities related to processing, receiving, recording, storing, and/ or shipping raw materials/finished goods. You'll operate mobile equipment (heavy equipment, forklift, cranes, yard vehicle, lift truck) to move materials/products between warehouse/manufacturing facilities.

What you’ll do:
- Operate a lift truck to move palletized loads from 6000-15000 pounds.
- Operate an overhead crane on a production line.
- May operate mobile crane (move across yard).
- May operate scissor lift.
- Ensure proper identification of parts and materials.
- Follow all safety rules and practices.
- May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience operating large forklifts or yard trucks.
- Previous experience with shipping and receiving is required.
- Previous experience with bills of lading a plus.
- The ability to operate a lift truck to move palletized loads up to 15000 pounds.
- The ability to perform activities related to processing, receiving, recording, and/or shipping raw materials/finished goods.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- The ability to work required overtime during the week or on weekends.
- The ability to maintain good attendance.
