Job Description
Arconic Architectural Products (AAP) helps architects, designers, specifiers and installers achieve their own groundbreaking ideas using our Reynobond® | Reynolux® products. We have a manufacturing facility in Eastman, Georgia, which manufactures and markets architectural systems and products in North America.
We have an immediate opening for a Production Planner to support our Arconic Architectural Products (AAP) business. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Production Planner will be responsible for all production scheduling, for procurement of packaging materials and supervising a staff of 3 associates. The Production Planner will work as part of a larger Supply Chain team and will receive guidance from Supply Chain Manager, Production Manager and other Supply Chain employees.
Responsibilities
Duties & Responsibilities include:
Maintain an efficient run schedule of the Reynobond production line and cut-to-length line
Supervise supply chain associates, including coaching, development and time-keeping
Manage procurement, inventory and budget of all packaging materials, including skids
Ensure that accurate records of purchase orders, supplier correspondence, and shipments are maintained to analyze and follow-up with suppliers concerning open quantities. Organization of files is necessary to keep purchase orders cleaned up.
Create and maintain relationships with internal and external customers including, production, customer service, finance, quality, shipping department and material handlers, outside suppliers.
Participate in cycle count activities at outside suppliers, as needed
Be able to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines and commitments
Seek opportunities to become involved in process improvements
Must learn and support company policies, procedures, and methodology
Other duties as assigned
A successful Production Planner must possess the following Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Intermediate experience with MS Excel
Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, proactive and a team player
Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to create concise, effective communications, with strong written and verbal communication skills
Exercise independent judgment in order to resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
High School Graduate or GED equivalency
Minimum of 2 years work experience in a production planning, purchasing, or supply chain position
Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory position
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or similar field from an accredited institution.
Purchasing experience using Oracle or similar system
ERP system experience
Previous experience in operational planning/scheduling
