Arconic is currently in search of Engineer, Architectural Service Team (AST) to join our Kawneer teambased in Harrisonburg, VA.

Job Summary:

As an Engineer, Architectural Service Team (AST), you will be the go-to expert providing consulting services for product solutions to potential customers. You’ll guide them through the maze of specs, systems, and solutions to support the design professional’s performance and aesthetic requirements – ensuring Kawneer products are seamlessly integrated into world-class projects.

In this role, you will:

• Review and understand architectural design drawings to provide appropriate technical solutions for project specific requirements.
• Provide timely response to architects, designers and specifies as follow up to direct e-mail, phone and web inquires.
• Provide standard, modified and custom detail information to design professionals for project specific requirements.
• Utilize the company website to assist design professionals.
• Work closely with the commercial sales organization to maximize promotional opportunities to close bid projects.
• Identify and communicate emerging market and/or product needs to the product management group.
• Promote new products whenever possible.
• Counsel customers on matters of product selection, product application and installation processes.
  
  

Responsibilities

Key Skills and Knowledge Needed:

• Possess the ability to read and understand architectural construction documents and specifications.
• Have basic knowledge of structural engineering principles and concepts.
• Proven technical proficiency in AutoCAD software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external customers.
• Maintain building and construction and/or architectural industry knowledge.
• Must be results oriented with the ability to multi-task and work independently.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to work well in a team environment, fostering cooperation and teamwork.

Qualifications

You have: (required)

• Associates degree in an architectural o engineering discipline
• At least one (1) year of experience in architecture, application engineering, product engineering, product development, technical sales or construction engineering
  
  

Or

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  
  

Exceptional Candidates also have: (preferred)

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management
• At least two (2) years of experience in architecture, application engineering, product engineering, product development, technical sales or construction engineering
• Previous experience working with Curtain Wall, Window Wall and /or SEF systems.
  
  

Work Setting & Location:

• This position will operate in person in a professional office environment in Harrisonburg, VA.
