Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for the Internal Control environment including direct communication with Internal and External Audit Managers.
- Responsible for the development and execution of management action plans to remediate any issues and to drive changes in the control environment to ensure future compliance.
- Lead process improvement projects to achieve world-class performance.
- Project leadership of key Treasury initiatives including cross-functional teams.
Key Objectives
- Maintain existing hedge documentation and supporting analysis for multiple financial products with an emphasis on cash flow hedge accounting.
- Support the Commodity Trading Desk by verifying activities are within policy guidelines.
- Support the Trading Desk and Treasury Managers in developing strategies to address the company’s risks.
- Present impacts of price fluctuations on financial transactions as well as on the company’s physical exposures.
Qualifications
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution.
- Ten years’ related experience in controllership, treasury functions, and commodity hedging strategies.
- Five years’ experience in people management.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Exceptional Candidates also have:
- Experience interacting with purchase and sales contracts that have indexed based pricing.
- Completion of an accredited MBA or other advanced degree program or Certified Public Accountant license.
- Generally Accepted Accounting Principles: knowledge of U.S. and local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) with specific attention to financial transactions
- Transaction/Business Knowledge: ability to quickly grasp financial risk management and capital market activities.
- Financial Systems: Knowledge of general ledger and financial reporting applications.
- Microsoft Applications: Proficient use of products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint to analyze and communicate.
- Process Controls: Ability to analyze systems and processes to identify effective and efficient controls to ensure stability.
Salary : $150,000 - $170,000
