Gas Station Attendant

Duties

• Greet customers warmly, providing excellent service and assistance throughout their visit
• Operate the cash register and handle retail sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems
• Manage cash handling procedures, including cash drawer balancing and basic math calculations for transactions
• Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure products are well-presented and replenished regularly
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about new or featured items, upselling where appropriate
• Assist with grocery store or retail store product knowledge to answer customer inquiries confidently
• Maintain cleanliness of the station area, including fueling stations, convenience store sections, and restrooms
• Support merchandising efforts by arranging displays and ensuring proper signage is in place
• Handle phone etiquette professionally when taking orders or providing information to customers
• Supervise or assist with team members as needed, demonstrating leadership skills and supervising experience when applicable

Skills

• Proven experience with POS systems and retail sales transactions
• Strong cashiering skills with cash drawer handling and retail math proficiency
• Excellent communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customers effectively
• Customer service expertise with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and upselling techniques
• Experience in stocking shelves, inventory management, and product demos
• Familiarity with grocery store operations or convenience store environments is a plus
• Ability to manage phone etiquette professionally in fast-paced settings
• Supervising experience is advantageous for team coordination and leadership roles
• Basic math skills necessary for accurate cash handling and transaction processing

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
