OPPORTUNITY:
As a New Business Development Sales Rep for our growing sales team, you’ll be the front-line, driving new large-scale design/build project opportunities with businesses expanding their facilities. You’ll go straight to the source—C-suite execs, operations leaders, and decision-makers—to introduce them to our full-service, design-build construction services. If you thrive on the thrill of sealing the deal before project bid requests reach Developers, then this might be the action you desire.
Our sweet spot focuses on companies with multiple locations and includes commercial offices, medical facilities, and multi-family developments. Our full scope of services and project management turns new clients into long-term, repeat clients.
Backed by a powerhouse team of architects, engineers, project managers, and client services pros, you’ll have all the tools needed to sell with confidence and deliver on promises. This is a high-impact, high-reward role with zero geographic limitations—your hustle can go nationally.
Reporting directly to the VP of our Florida business unit, your drive, resourcefulness, and competitive fire will be the keys to crushing your goals and stacking up serious monetary potential.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Prospect, qualify leads, pitch, and close new large-scale commercial design/build deals.
- Cold call and directly engage potential clients before developers and competitors get in the door.
- Focus on opportunities in early planning/conceptual stages where we can provide full value.
- Communicate the value of our integrated design/build model to decision-makers across industries.
- Nurture your new client accounts that lead to repeat business and referrals.
- Track activities and follow-up in our CRM (Pipedrive), keeping your pipeline tight and transparent.
- Work with internal teams to deliver killer proposals that seal the deal.
- Attend industry events and trade shows to stay sharp, grow your network, and spot new opportunities.
SUCCESS FACTORS:
- 3 years of sales success in long-cycle, outbound-focused B2B role. Bonus for you if it’s in commercial construction, design/build, commercial development, or industrial sales.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, or a related field preferred.
- Enjoy field-based roles with travel to meet prospective clients with viable construction needs.
- Master Communicator – You know how to get past gatekeepers and start real conversations with high-level decision-makers.
- Sales strategist – You're not just selling; you're providing tailored, consultative solutions that solve problems and drive value.
- Construction-savvy – You get the basics of how complex builds come together, and you can speak the language.
- Highly organized & proactive – You’re tracking every lead, every follow-up, and staying two steps ahead.
- Resilient closer – You don’t take “no” personally, and you chase every “maybe” until it turns into a “yes.”
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
ARCO Murray Construction offers a competitive six-figure compensation package including an attractive base salary and uncapped commission incentive plan. Your income will continue to grow as you further develop your client relationships.
ARCO is an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) and as an owner of the company, you will reap rewards from company profits.
