Food Prep/Cook

Overview:

The AMPM Food Prep/Cook prepares and cooks food items to ensure the highest quality service and experience for customers. They help keep the kitchen organized and running efficiently. They ensure proper food handling, sanitation and following food storage procedures. Please be aware that we are hiring solely for the 4am-12pm shift time (Full- and Part-Time).

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook food items according to company recipes and procedures
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, prep areas, and equipment
• Stock and rotate food inventory (FIFO method)
• Monitor food temperatures and quality standards
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service when needed
• Operate kitchen equipment safely
• Complete daily cleaning and closing duties
• Perform cashier duties as needed (training provided)

Required Skills/Experience:

• Food Handler’s Certificate (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Ability to provide excellent customer service (i.e. outgoing, friendly, greet every customer with a smile).
• Ability to multi-task, resolve problems, handle difficult situations, and work with other team members.
• Ability to work unaccompanied, standing for long periods of time, and without defined break periods.
• Ability to bend, twist and lift at least 50 lbs in narrow spaces.
• Ability to get to work with reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

• Previous food service or kitchen experience preferred

Schedule:

• Morning, weekend, and holiday shifts available
