AI Intern (Spring COOP 2026)

The intern/co-op will support in developing internal AI solutions for ARCO/Murray Innovation. This role focuses on building practical, reliable AI features and tools that streamline internal workflows, enhance productivity, and expand the organization’s AI capabilities.

• Build end-to-end Gen AI solutions using Python, Django, and modern AI frameworks (OpenAI APIs, LangChain, LangGraph).
• Develop evaluation pipelines, prompt-engineering patterns, and agentic workflows to streamline internal processes.
• Integrate AI features into existing internal tools, including data retrieval and manipulation; and front-end components built with React.
• Design, test, and optimize vector search, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation workflows using company datasets.
• Create metrics dashboards, benchmarking tools, and automated QA checks to measure performance, safety, and reliability of deployed AI systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, present findings to non-technical audiences and provide strategic recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience with Python software development, including building small applications or automations.
• Demonstrated experience with modern AI/ML tooling such as OpenAI APIs, vector databases, embeddings, agent frameworks (LangGraph, n8n etc).
• Ability to work with relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL) and setup basic ETL pipelines, setting up knowledge graphs.
• Basic proficiency in front-end development (React or similar) to support integration into internal tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down ambiguous technical problems into clear, testable steps.

Required Qualifications: 

• Minimum GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s of Engineering program or related field of study
• Must be available for in-office 5 days a week in an ARCO/Murray office
• Prior industry internship experience is a plus
