What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welding Instructor position at Arclabs Welding School?
Come join the dynamic growing team at Arclabs Welding School. We are looking for skilled welders who are passionate about the trade and training. The candidate needs to be a positive, driven, intentional individual, who works well on a team.
Day to Day:
- 90% of instruction is in the booth
- Demonstrating processes and techniques
- Following the curriculum and making sure students are on track
- Reviewing student performance and giving feedback for improvement
- Monitor student attendance
- Signing off and turning in performances
- Preparing and conducting classroom lectures
- Communicating students needs
- Working with Career Coordinators to assist students in getting a welding job after graduating
- Submit in writing current textbook, supply, and equipment needs to the Lead Welding Instructor
Requirements: Must be able to pass the following weld test
- 3G and 4G GMAW/FCAW combo Mig root uphill or downhill Flux core fill and cap on 3/8 carbon steel plate.
- 6G GTAW/SMAW combo on 4in sch80 carbon steel pipe.
