Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greet all members and guests warmly and professionally.
- Provide knowledgeable assistance on golf merchandise, tee times, and course policies.
- Deliver a high level of service to ensure a positive and welcoming experience.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system for retail transactions and green fees.
- Assist with merchandise display, restocking, tagging, and inventory control.
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and visually appealing.
- Schedule tee times and manage the tee sheet accurately.
- Communicate clearly with outside services and starter regarding player groups and pairings.
- Monitor and maintain pace of play standards.
- Answer phones and respond to inquiries in a courteous and timely manner.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures of the golf shop.
- Maintain cleanliness of counter area, fitting rooms, and general shop appearance.
- Work closely with golf professionals and outside service staff.
- Communicate special requests or member preferences to the appropriate team members.
- Support tournament operations with materials and check-in as needed.
- Prior retail or customer service experience preferred; golf shop experience is a plus.
- Basic golf knowledge and familiarity with golf products.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable with computers, POS systems, and multi-line phones.
- Able to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform light cleaning or stocking tasks.
