A golf course maintenance assistant mechanic performs mechanical tasks under the direction of the head mechanic, including repairing and maintaining mowing equipment, utility vehicles, and other golf course machinery, performing preventative maintenance like oil changes and blade sharpening, diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic issues, and maintaining records and parts inventory. This role requires mechanical knowledge, ability to operate tools, physical fitness for lifting and standing, and a valid driver's license.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use common mechanical tools.
- Knowledge of gasoline, diesel, and electric-powered equipment.
- Experience in small engine repair, automotive, or turf equipment maintenance is preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to frequently lift and carry heavy equipment and materials, sometimes up to 50-100 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, and have finger dexterity for operating tools and equipment.
