A progressive academic health system in Central New York is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide Nocturnist Hospitalist services at a community hospital in Oneonta.
Overview:
This 53-bed hospital offers subspecialty support in cardiology, surgery, infectious disease, pulmonary, and orthopedics, as well as robust telemedicine coverage for psychiatry, palliative care, and neurology. The facility uses a fully integrated EPIC EMR.
Position Highlights:
Join a team of 18 hospitalist physicians and 4 advanced practice clinicians
155 shifts per year (block schedule; typically 7 on/7 off)
Hours: 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM
Extra shifts available at premium pay
Primary responsibilities: admissions, cross-coverage, transfer coordination, and responding to codes/rapid responses
On-site 24/7 Emergency Medicine physician support
Hospitalist physician backup available by phone
Procedural skills preferred but not required
Independent and team-oriented providers welcome
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000
Sign-on bonus: Up to $50,000

Qualifications:
