This is a permanent position.
Opportunity Details:
Full-time Medical Director/Physician role caring for residents in nonprofit skilled nursing homes
Lead and provide care across 7 skilled nursing facilities in the Capital Region
Settings include long-term care, subacute rehab, and memory care (two sites follow the Green House model)
Work within a collaborative medical team of physicians and nurse practitioners
On-site specialists available: Podiatry, Psychiatry, Psychology, and Optometry
Partnership with Albany College of Pharmacy, including a Geriatric Pharmacotherapy Service
Supported by experienced leadership in nursing, medical, quality, and residential services
Teaching opportunities with Albany Medical College’s Geriatric Fellowship Program
Requirements:
Board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Geriatric Medicine or Hospice & Palliative Care certification preferred (not required)
Certified Medical Director (CMD) credential preferred (not required)
Passion for eldercare and working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment
Compensation/Benefits:
Base salary: $250,000 – $280,000
Relocation allowance available
