Urology Opening in Litchfield Park, AZ Located 20 miles from Phoenix Position Details
Searching for an Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to join a growing practice.
They are looking for candidates interested in working in the hospital / in-patient setting.- General Duties & Responsibilities of the APP
Performs complete evaluations on patients of all ages
Orders and interprets appropriate lab, x-ray, and special studies
Establishes a working diagnosis based on acquired data
Develops a treatment plan for urological conditions in accordance with current urology practice and in conjunction with the urologist
Implements therapeutic intervention
Provides appropriate follow-up care
Exercises judgment on conditions requiring consultation, referral, or evaluation by the supervising urologist or other healthcare professionals
Other duties as assigned- Hospital Duties & Responsibilities :
Sees new and follow-up patients and provides problem-oriented intervention for their urological conditions
Assists in care, treatment, and follow-up as needed
Performs and / or assists in procedures, including transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) volume studies, cystoscopies, post-void residual (PVRs) evals, difficult catheterizations, post-op voiding trails, and other necessary procedures
Orders and interprets lab, x-ray, special studies, and clinical procedures and provides appropriate care and follow-up
Performs on-call duties for urology
Evaluates, screens, and counsels patients on health maintenance and promotes the utilization of community resources- Education & Experience Requirements of the Urology APP
Master of Science from an accredited PA or NP program.
Current valid state medical license
DEA / DPS license
Previous Urology experience is a plus but, not required.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
