**Cardiac Anesthesiologist opening in Bangor, Maine**
Medical Center seeks board certified/board eligible anesthesiologists with subspecialty training in cardiac anesthesia to join our growing anesthesia service. Our highly skilled physician group provides coverage for a broad spectrum of surgical cases; those with subspecialty training have a higher concentration of cases in their specialty.
Position/Department Highlights:
* Full-time, permanent opening
* Large collegial team and reasonable call schedule
* Busy OB service
* Large variety of cases (thoracic, neuro, orthopedic, urologic, general surgery, trauma and vascular)
• M-F standard work week
• 1:6 Call, no 24-hour in-house call
• Compensation: $635,000
* Eligible for RVU Incentive
• 10 weeks of PTO
* Sign-on bonus: $25k
* Relocation bonus: $15k
* Professional Development Allowance: $5k
* Educational Loan Repayment: $20k a year, no cap
In addition, our highly skilled physician group provides coverage for a broad spectrum of surgical cases, including orthopedics, vascular, bariatric, thoracic, general, basic pediatrics, ENT, urology, OB/GYN and neurosurgery. Adult only cardiac cases are done by a dedicated group of fellowship-trained MDs and are not shared by the general work pool.
1:6 (will defer to general call schedule):
* 1:6 – typically one shift every 6 days, but a lot of variability– covers nights and weekends,
* Schedule is flexible and not entirely predictable
* Approximately 15-16 shifts in a 3 month period (overnight, in-house weekend day, or back-up pager call, and weekend coverage) Approximately:
* 5-7 overnight weekday calls (averages out to 1 every other week)
* 1-2 Fri/Sun overnight shifts (averages
* 1-2 Saturday overnight shifts
* 5-7 back-up pager call shifts (averages out to 1 every other week)
* 1-2 back-up pager weekends
* 0-1 Sat/Sun in-house shifts
