This role will suit an Electrical Engineer with five years' experience in the automotive, aerospace/defense or power distribution sectors with either an interest in moving into a technical sales role or already in a customer facing or support position.

At an exciting expansion phase, this German subsidiary has created a new position that will provide the opportunity to build their US sales presence while developing your career in technical sales through strong training and support.
The Role
Specifically, your role will involve:
- Delivering technical presentations and undertaking direct sales activities with known customers
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with key decision-makers and technical stakeholders within known customers
- Providing pre-sales support including solution proposals, technical documentation, and pricing
- Working closely with both the company’s German HQ and US sales partners to engage with customers and build confidence in the company’s offerings through your ability to present credible technical solutions
- Organising and leading sales demonstrations to customers in collaboration with the various company business groups
- Representing the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer visits across North America.
What You Bring to the Role:
- Technical credibility/background in power electronics gained from your electrical engineering degree and ideally relevant work experience
- At least 5 years of engineering experience in automotive, aerospace, defense or power distribution and ideally with some customer facing exposure - account management or sales related experience would be highly regarded, although training will be provided
- Strong communication, presentation, and the confidence to negotiate and influence positive outcomes
- A high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently
- Willingness to undertake frequent domestic travel and travel to Germany for training
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
