We are hiring for a full-time day porter to service a corporate office building in the city. This is a great opportunity if you are reliable, have a great attitude and are customer oriented.
No experience is necessary as we will train but you must meet the requirements for the job and be able to meet and maintain all contractual responsibilities. Customer service experience is a plus as the job requires daily interaction with our client and the building employees.
Summary of Job Description
The day porter maintains the cleanliness of the restrooms and public areas (lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, breakrooms, etc.) throughout the day and is on-site to assist our client with other janitorial requests, such as emergency clean-up, trash removal, etc.
Duties include, emptying trash (inside and outside), sweeping and spot cleaning floors, dusting/damp wiping horizontal surfaces, replenishing soap and tissue dispensers, and other duties as assigned by building management.
Physical Requirements
You must be able to walk and stand for the duration of the shift. In addition to bending, lifting (up to 40lbs), stretching, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling or crouching; reaching with hands and arms; climbing stairs; talking and hearing.
Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
