Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and guiding them through check-in procedures
- Manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism, answering inquiries promptly and directing calls appropriately
- Schedule appointments efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system
- Verify insurance coverage, including Medicare, PPOs and HMOs ensuring accurate insurance information and documentation.
- Collect and process medical collections, co-pays, and payments accurately using billing software
- Maintain organized medical records by filing documents correctly and updating patient information in various EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems
- Support medical administrative tasks such as data entry
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality during all interactions
Skills Required
- Extensive experience with EMR systems (3 plus years)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Proficiency in insurance verification processes for Medicare and private insurers
- Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently
- Bilingual abilities (spanish) to serve diverse patient populations effectively
- Previous medical office experience is required for understanding healthcare workflows
- Strong computer skills including typing speed (10 key typing) and health information management software
- Exceptional organizational skills for managing medical records, filing systems, and documentation
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times

Please be advised that the schedule for this position requires availability from Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Additionally, weekend availability is required as needed, specifically on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
