Position: Tax Accountant

Location: Rogers, AR

Salary/Pay Rate: $70,000

Type: Direct Hire (On-Site)

Archon Resources is currently looking for a Tax Accountant for Direct Hire to join one of our best clients located in Rogers, AR. This is a permanent position with full benefits including medical, vision, dental, PTO, & 401k.

Summary:

This role supports the preparation, research, and processing of sales, use, and income tax filings while helping ensure ongoing financial compliance. The position plays a key role in maintaining SOX controls and supporting a wide range of tax reporting and reconciliation activities across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct tax research related to sales and use tax requirements

• Ensure compliance with state, county, and local sales and use tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements

• Assist in developing tax strategies to minimize overall tax exposure

• Prepare supporting schedules for state and federal income tax returns

• Lead preparation of additional filings including unclaimed property, VIT, city returns, and other ad hoc tax reports

• Review real and personal property tax calculations, payments, and reconciliations

• Reconcile general ledger tax accounts with a strong focus on accuracy, completeness, and compliance

• Collaborate cross functionally to ensure tax related accounting matters are aligned across departments

• Support SOX control execution and monitoring

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding task status and timelines

• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Follow established policies, procedures, and ethical standards

• Maintain consistent daily attendance to support operational needs

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Three to five years of relevant tax or accounting experience preferred

• CPA or equivalent credentials preferred

• Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex financial and regulatory documents

• Ability to communicate effectively on complex or sensitive topics with internal stakeholders and leadership

• Solid mathematical and analytical skills, including working with percentages, ratios, and statistical concepts

• Strong problem solving skills with the ability to apply sound judgment in structured situations

• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

• Ability to learn and utilize internal and third party financial software systems
