What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Superintendent position at Architecture Plus Inc.?
Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with engineers, architects, designers, clients, and internal staff to confirm accurate specifications for projects.
· Negotiate contracts with external vendors and subcontractors to receive competitive pricing for our clients. Manage RFIs and submittals.
· Confirm project resources needed (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish.
· Track project budget, cost, and labor, monitor project progress and maintain detailed reports.
· Manage client expectations with daily/weekly communications and budget/labor tracking reports.
· Consistently monitor quality of work completed and ensure highest quality is produced.
· Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report any issues.
Skills
· Excellent understanding of project management practices and construction principles.
· Must be able to read plans proficiently.
· Ability to manage 3-5 small projects concurrently and successfully.
· Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and construction management software.
· Experience creating construction schedules including understanding of critical pathways.
· Knowledge of construction health and safety standards
· Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
· High School Diploma
· Reliable transportation and valid drivers license.
· 3-5 years of experience as a construction superintendent
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $60/hour to $65/hour (commensurate with experience)
Work Location: All projects will be located within the Los Angeles area.
Candidate will be hired as an independent contractor.
