Quality Inspector
Position Summary:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring products meet company quality standards and customer requirements. This position performs inspections, documents findings, identifies non-conforming products, and works closely with production teams to maintain quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of products and materials.
- Verify products meet specifications, drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Use measuring and testing equipment.
- Document inspection results accurately and maintain quality records.
- Knowledge of all structural and non-structural sealants for the following products
- DOWSIL
- GE/Momentive
- Knowledge of glass make up, low E-testing, glass surfaces, and inspecting.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Communicate quality concerns to supervisors and production personnel in a timely manner.
- Perform audits and inspections according to established procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety policies.
- Understand miters both typical and compound
- Check paint for adhesion and sealant compatibility
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or quality inspection experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
- Basic computer skills and experience with quality documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
