Architectural Revivalist, Inc. (ARI) is seeking a mid-career architect to join our studio located in Indianapolis, Indiana.
We are a multi-practice studio, offering Architecture, Interior Design, and Historic Preservation services to clients throughout Indiana and the Midwest. Our diversity of expertise and intentionality of size allow us to bring clients a well-rounded approach to projects, with a commitment to providing the highest quality of design and preservation expertise. ARI enjoys a collaborative work environment and is looking for someone who will smoothly integrate with the existing team. We particularly focus on renovation and adaptive reuse projects, but frequently incorporate new construction through addition design. ARI hopes to hire during (or before) first quarter 2026.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead projects from Programming through Construction Administration on a variety of project and building types
• Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Produce all phases of documentation including Construction Documents
• Direct client and consultant communication with professionalism and clarity
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance
• Support leadership in finding new work and preparing proposals
QUALIFICATIONS
• 8 years of experience working on complex projects of varying scales
• Strong technical knowledge of construction, detailing, and documentation, including drawings and specifications
• Required proficiency in REVIT and BIM360; preference for proficiency in AutoCAD
• Preference for proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Significant experience with:
- Multi-phase projects
- Projects with significant coordination between Architecture and Engineering disciplines
- Renovation and adaptive reuse projects
- Building codes, standards, and construction methodologies
• Collaborative, proactive, and detail-oriented personality with strong organizational skills
• Preference for onsite CA experience
• Preference for knowledge of and experience with historic preservation architecture
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture; preference for Master’s degree in Architecture
• Licensure as a Registered Architect is a bonus

• Hybrid and flexible work schedule, approximately 35 hours a week, minimum two days in-office

Salary
• Salary is commensurate with experience and licensure. Salary may be subject to negotiation.

• Architect Level III
- Eight or more years of professional experience. Certification as licensed professional is required.
- Professional degree in architecture, plus at least eight years of related experience. Participates in the conceptual design and provides full support through the entire project. Serves as a SME on specialized systems. Liaises with Project Management, other architects and consultants. Develops and represents lead technical viewpoint on projects. Coordinates with Director and Department Head on appropriate technical solutions and product strategies. Project size differentiates this position from the senior level
- Salary is $91,000–111,000
• Architect Staff Level III non-licensed
- Eight or more years of professional experience. Professional degree in architecture, plus at least eight years of related experience. Participates in the conceptual design and provides full support through the entire project. Serves as a SME on specialized systems. Liaises with Project Management, other architects/architectural staff, and consultants. Develops and represents lead technical viewpoint on projects. Coordinates with Director and Department Head on appropriate technical solutions and product strategies. Project size differentiates this position from the senior level
