Security Integration Technician

APV is looking for a Lead Security Service Technician for Central Virginia. APV is the premiere commercial door & security provider in the region. You will work directly with our Security team taking service calls and installing security systems. 

Job Title: Lead Security Service Technician 

Location: Ashland, VA 

Pay Range: $28.00 to $38.00 per hour

About the Role:  

• Install, program, test, troubleshoot, and maintain low voltage electronic access control and video security systems and products.
• Install cabling for access and video systems.
• Read and understand floor plans and electrical diagrams.
• Mount system panels and devices. 
• Wire circuits and electrical connections for access control and video security.

Requirements:  

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 2 years of integrated low voltage experience to include electrical wiring, electronics installation, and mechanical equipment installation.
• DCJS certified Electronic Security Technician.
• Desired: Experience or certification in Motorola/Avigilon, Acre Security, Genea Access, Hanwha, AMAG Technology, Millennium or similar major access control, video security systems or vendors.
• Ability to successfully pass a background check and other pre-employment screening.
• Driving record that meets operational and/or insurance requirements.
