The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of production and facility equipment. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on a wide range of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and automated systems to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on production machinery and facility equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and automation systems.
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance and compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, hydraulic schematics, electrical diagrams, and pneumatic blueprints.
- Calibrate, adjust, and align equipment components to manufacturer specifications.
- Install, modify, and upgrade machinery, automation systems, and associated controls.
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend improvements to reduce recurrence.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment histories.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with production teams to enhance process reliability.
- Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
- Assist in spare parts inventory management and request required materials in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
- 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.
- Proven hands-on experience with mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and automation systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, motor drives, and automated equipment.
- Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Salary : $40,000 - $45,000
