Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Project Estimator role based in Tinley Park, IL. The Project Estimator will review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate takeoffs, cost estimates, and proposals for glazing projects. This role includes analyzing labor, materials, and subcontractor quotes, as well as identifying value engineering options and potential project risks. The Project Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, sales, and operations teams to support bidding strategies, pricing, and project handoffs. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining estimating databases, responding to RFIs, and communicating with vendors and clients to clarify scope and ensure competitive, compliant bids.
Qualifications
- Experience managing glazing, curtainwall, storefront or facade projects.
- Strong cost-focused skills, including Cost Management, Budgeting, and the ability to track and analyze project financials.
- Proficiency in Construction Estimating and Project Estimation, with experience reading blueprints and construction specifications.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.
- Ability to work on-site in Tinley Park, IL, and collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
