About the Role
We are seeking a driven and highly organized Commercial Flooring Sales Executive to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving new revenue, managing a portfolio of commercial accounts, and guiding clients through the entire flooring lifecycle—from initial consultation and technical bidding to material selection and final installation.
The ideal candidate is a strategic relationship builder who understands commercial construction cycles and can comfortably interface with general contractors, architects, facility managers, and end-users.
Core Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Prospect and actively pursue new commercial flooring projects within the [Specific Territory/Region] market.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with General Contractors (GCs), Architects, Designers (A&D), and direct commercial property owners.
- Conduct consultative sales meetings to understand client needs and recommend appropriate surface materials (LVT, VCT, carpet tile, broadloom, sheet vinyl, etc.) based on traffic, usage, and budget constraints.
- Present proposals, negotiate contract terms, and close deals to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in B2B sales, specifically within the commercial flooring, construction materials, or architectural products industry.
- Technical Literacy: Proven ability to read and interpret commercial blueprints, construction plans, and technical specifications.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial flooring products, installation methods, and subfloor preparation.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor technical information to both field crews and executive stakeholders.
- Drive: Self-motivated with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Mobility: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally within the designated territory.
Preferred Skills
- Existing book of business or strong network of local GCs and architects.
- Proficiency with industry-specific estimation software and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).

Estimating & Project Consultation
- Review architectural blueprints, plan specifications, and finish schedules to accurately scope projects.
- Collaborate with the estimating team to generate precise quotes, ensuring all prep work, moisture mitigation, transitions, and labor are accounted for.
- Develop technical bids and respond effectively to RFIs.
- Value-engineer projects when necessary to meet client budgets without compromising functional integrity.
Project Management & Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the client throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate seamlessly with internal project managers, logistics coordinators, and installation crews to ensure materials are procured and delivered on schedule.
- Conduct site visits to verify field conditions, manage client expectations, and ensure quality control during and after installation.
- Experience in specific commercial verticals (e.g., healthcare, education, or hospitality).
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation: Competitive base salary
Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
