Job Summary
Architectural Division 8 is a San Antonio based company. We are looking for candidates interested in a career as a Shipping Receiving Material Control Specialist. We are looking for you to bring your discipline, aptitude, drive and don’t quit attitude. To be considered as a candidate applicants must demonstrate they are self-directed, self-motivated and well organized. Good verbal and written communication skills as well as Computer experience will be required.
Responsibilities and Duties
Job Duties:
- Verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Preparing and packing items for shipment which includes creating packing lists and shipping labels
- Quality Control inspection and record keeping of incoming shipments, rejecting and recording damaged items, recording shortages, and corresponding with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
- Replenishing Inventory and managing inventory bins
- Managing Inventory Database
- Performing Spot checks and cycle counts
- Pulling, organizing, and distributing materials for work orders
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Delivery of Materials
- Providing materials on demand for production floor
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs
Qualifications and Skills
Skills/Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Computers and electronic inventory systems
- Prior forklift experience
- Knowledge of warehouse and safety operations and procedures, safety methods and practices
- Knowledge of business English, proper spelling, grammar, punctuation
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic, fractional math and use a calculator
- Ability to follow instructions in verbal and written format
- Ability to demonstrate moral character, honesty, tact, fairness, lack of prejudice and desire to help when dealing with people
- Clean driving record
- Need to be familiar with driving flat bed & trucks with Gooseneck trailers.
Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: High School graduate or GED equivalent Current Driver’s License and have own transportation Clean criminal background that adheres to EEO and other government regulations
