What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Engineer position at Architectural Design Guild?
A mid-sized A/E firm located in the St. Louis; MO area is looking for a Mechanical Engineer who is an independent self-starter with the ability to work well as part of a team. We have a casual, but very productive environment and offer excellent benefits. This is not a remote or part-time position.
Responsibilities:
- Design of multiple HVAC system types, packaged rooftop units, air handlers, plumbing and piping.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Will be responsible for producing Design Development and Construction Documents.
- Process RFI's, shop drawings and submittals.
- Attend client meetings and conference calls.
- Coordinate projects/drawings with consultants (both in and out of house).
- Conduct existing condition site surveys.
- Ability to travel.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience designing HVAC and Plumbing systems for buildings.
- Must have AutoCAD experience.
- Familiar with automated software such as Carrier's Hourly Analysis Program (HAP) or Trane Air conditioning Economics (Trace).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have strong technical and problem-solving skills
