Architectural Components, Inc. is looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our growing team in Sandy, Utah.

Unlike many salaried estimating positions, we pay overtime. Our Senior Estimators work a minimum 50-hour workweek, allowing you to earn $118,000–$124,000 annually, plus bonuses and outstanding benefits.

What You'll Do
As a Senior Estimator, you'll play a critical role in securing profitable work and setting projects up for success.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs from plans and specifications.
- Develop complete and competitive project estimates.
- Solicit pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
- Review plans, specifications, RFIs, and addenda.
- Prepare bid proposals and supporting documentation.
- Analyze project risks and identify value-engineering opportunities.
- Review contract documents and understand language that legally links plans and specifications.
- Participate in bid reviews with company leadership.
- Communicate effectively with general contractors and owners throughout the bidding process.
- Maintain bid schedules and ensure all deadlines are met.
- Coordinate project turnover to the Project Management team after award.
- Assist with mentoring junior estimators and improving estimating processes.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of commercial construction estimating experience.
- Experience preparing detailed quantity takeoffs.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction plans and specifications.
- Experience reviewing construction contracts.
- Knowledge of how plans, specifications, and contract documents work together.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience estimating Division 10, specialty construction, architectural specialties, or related trades.
- Glass and glazing estimating experience is a plus.
- Experience using Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and estimating software.
Compensation
Hourly Pay: $42–$44/hour (based on experience)
Minimum 50-hour workweek
Because we pay overtime, estimated annual earnings are:
- $118,000–$124,000 annually
- Weekly payroll
- Overtime paid after 40 hours
- Quarterly Sales Bonus
$7,000 Sign-On Bonus
Receive a $7,000 sign-on bonus after successfully completing 9 months of full-time employment, subject to Company policy.
