Role Description The Accounting Manager position is a full-time, hybrid role based in Nashville, TN, with flexibility for some work from home. This position oversees the day-to-day accounting operations, including client billing, preparation and review of financial statements, general ledger maintenance, and journal entries. The Accounting Manager will manage fixed asset accounting, support budgeting and forecasting processes, and ensure accurate, timely month-end and year-end closes. Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining internal controls, supporting audits, and collaborating with finance and operations teams to provide analytical insights and financial reporting. The role also involves mentoring accounting staff, improving processes, and supporting management with special projects and data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
- Strong financial reporting capabilities, including experience preparing and reviewing Financial Statements and supporting related disclosures.
- Proficiency in core accounting activities, such as Journal Entries (Accounting), general ledger reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Solid understanding of Finance principles with demonstrated Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Experience managing Fixed Assets, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and related reconciliations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
- Experience in an Accounting Manager or senior accounting role, ideally within healthcare, insurance, or a data-driven services environment.
- Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a hybrid work setting.
- Clear, professional communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
