Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in San Jose, CA, for a Systems Actuation Engineer. The Systems Actuation Engineer will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing actuation systems, creating detailed design specifications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance. The role involves performing technical analyses, troubleshooting, and ensuring products meet quality and safety standards. Additionally, the engineer will contribute to the integration of actuation systems with other subsystems and oversee system-level testing.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in mechanical and electrical system design, including hands-on experience with actuation systems and control mechanisms
- Strong skills in systems integration, testing, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of simulation tools, CAD software, and system modeling techniques
- Experience in working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Prior experience in the aerospace, automotive, or robotics industries is a plus
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations related to actuation systems
