Archer Mechanical is seeking a full time Logistics and Warehouse Coordinator to join our growing team.
Archer Mechanical specializes in sustainable mechanical and plumbing systems, providing
design-build, design-assist, new construction, additions, remodels, retrofits, service and
preventative maintenance.
The organization has been established since 1987 and has continued to grow rapidly over the past 39 years. Archer Mechanical produces a higher-value product cost – effectively and manufacturing methods, reducing safety risks, schedule durations, and congestion on the job site while enhancing the construction results.
As our Logistics and Warehouse Coordinator you would serve as the central hub of our fabrication and supply operations. In this role, clear and consistent communication is vital, as you will have daily interaction with vendors, fabrication teams, and project managers to keep our workflow moving. You will be responsible for planning and managing deliveries from our fabrication shop to the job sites, overseeing all shipping and receiving activities, and ensuring absolute accuracy of freight logs and inventory labeling.
We are looking for someone proactive, to sustain 5S organization across our warehouse, track high value assets such as tools, equipment & trailers. As well as coordinating yard access for large deliveries. The ideal candidate is a solutions-oriented leader who brings a “Progress over Problems” attitude and commitment, ensuring our team operates with maximum efficiency and growth.
Responsibilities
- Plan and manage deliveries from fabrication to job sites.
- Log all incoming/outgoing freight.
- Ensure bills of lading and PO data are accurate.
- Work closely with out Fabrication Operations Coordinator with shipments.
- Inventory management, including logging & staging of materials ordered for fabrication and labeling materials by job. Helping log MTR’s for pipe.
- Following up with vendors on backorders and returning materials to vendors with proper documentation.
- Inventory communication, communicating any shortages or overstock to planning teams
- Aid in the coordination of lean storage solutions for tools, equipment and pipe materials.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
- Keep track of high value tools, equipment and trailers.
- Coordinate and communicate with vendors for RMA, exchanges or damaged goods.
- Maintain logistics related forms (Receiving logs, SDS sheets, pick tickets).
- Improvement & efficiency assessment and implementation
Critical Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current forklift certification.
- Significant supervisory role within a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Pipefitting experience with a deep understanding of mechanical components fittings and assembly.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively between departments. As well as the ability to delegate.
- Proven ability to work independently and as a self-starter.
- Strong initiative with the ability to identify and solve problems effectively.
- Detail oriented and adaptable.
- Technologically adept with solid computer skills with the ability to manage inventory data & warehouse workflows using computer software.
- Keen to learn and develop new skills and knowledge.
Preferential Qualifications:
- Experience with digital inventory management.
- Experience implementing 5S.
- Experience tracking high-value assets.
- Understanding of deliveries and how to stage materials for large scale mechanical construction projects
- Experience maintaining accurate shipping/receiving logs, and bills of lading.
- Familiarity with maintaining SDS and general job site safety protocols (OSHA 10/30 preferred).
