What You’ll Own & Impact
Category & Commercial Strategy
- Own category insights nationally, as well as across all channels and customers, identifying key growth drivers and opportunities
- Translate syndicated and internal data into clear, actionable recommendations that influence commercial strategy and decision-making
- Partner with Sales leadership to shape customer strategies, distribution priorities, and in-store execution plans
- Lead category storytelling and positioning to strengthen Archer’s credibility with customers and brokers
- Serve as a strategic partner to Sales on customer planning, business reviews, and key account initiatives
- Lead development of high-impact sales materials, including master decks, customer presentations, and sell-in strategies
- Provide ongoing performance insights and recommendations to improve velocity, distribution, and assortment decisions
- Support negotiations and evaluation of customer-specific data investments
- Lead competitive analysis and category trend identification to inform brand and innovation strategy
- Identify whitespace opportunities and conduct size-of-prize analysis for new product development
- Partner with Marketing to translate insights into compelling messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies
- Own monthly and quarterly category performance reviews presented to Executive Leadership and Board of Directors
- Provide strategic recommendations on customer, channel, and portfolio performance
- Influence cross-functional decision-making through data-driven insights and forward-looking analysis
- Own relationships with syndicated data partners (SPINS, Numerator, etc.), including contract negotiations and optimization
- Evaluate and evolve data tools, dashboards, and reporting capabilities to support business needs
- Establish best practices for data usage, reporting, and insight generation across the organization
- 5 years of experience in Category Insights, Category Management, or Commercial Analytics
- Deep expertise in syndicated data (SPINS, Circana/IRI, Nielsen, Numerator) and category analytics
- Proven ability to translate data into strategic business recommendations that drive growth
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Strong commercial acumen with understanding of retail, distribution, and in-store execution
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; ability to synthesize and communicate complex data clearly
- Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments
