Position Overview
The Senior Accountant will oversee full-cycle accounting for an assigned group of clients, ensuring accurate financial reporting and timely completion of all deliverables. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, confident managing multiple clients at once, and proficient in navigating client communication and workflow in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple clients, including AP, AR, reconciliations, payroll entries, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date books in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Support tax preparation work when needed, including cleanup and schedules
- Communicate proactively with clients to gather information, resolve issues, and provide guidance
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a high-quality client experience
- Provide mentorship or guidance to junior staff as needed (preferred but not required)
- More than 2–3 years of public accounting experience, managing full-cycle accounting for 15–20 or more clients
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO); this is required
- Solid understanding of GAAP and small-business accounting practices
- Proven ability to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and client service skills
